Absolute Sound Recorder 4.2.01

Absolute Sound Recorder Editor's Review

AS the name suggests, 'Absolute Sound Recorder' is a sound record software. It offers a lot of features and options for recording. Some of them are almost useless.

Most of the settings are for volume control and the important settings such as record format or saving path are not listed on its interface. You'll lose important time searching for them. You'll see here recording settings for MP3, WAV, WMA, as well as time limit and auto split options. An interesting feature is the 'File Info' where you can edit the 'ID3v1' or 'ID3v2' tag.

Unfortunately you can't record output sounds so if you are listening to an interesting show on an online radio and you want to record it, you can't do that.

Among the almost useless features mentioned above is the 'Vis Type' listed on the first tab of the main interface. This is a recording software, you can't create a play list and the most settings are for volume so I don't see the use for this in a program like this.

The user interface is difficult to use because the important settings aren't considered important by the producer of this software.

Pluses:

Drawbacks / flaws: Too few important features.

In conclusion: I hope that in the next release the user interface will be redesigned and the features will be more accessible.
